Monterey Live

Monterey - January 5th

We stuffed Bruce (the van) full and went to go pick up Max at the Sacramento Airport. We were supposed to play a living room show in Novato but the gig got cancelled as the house had no power thanks to a huge storm that hit northern california. so we drove straight to Monterey.

The venue, Monterey Live, never told us that the show was 21+ so we spent awhile seeing if we could get some of the underage folk in. But it worked out and we ended up having a packed house. Monterey Live is a real cool venue - has a jazz club type of feel and it was very clean. People are sitting which has actually been the case with every gig so far.

Our old drummer Matt came down and played a tune with us and he brought a whole bunch of folk from the Defensive Language Institute with him. Matt is now studying Dari in monterey in the airforce.

By the time we got out of the venue it was really really late and we had to get up early the next day to go play on KPIG.
